I hear you and I appreciate the feedback. To your points in order:
lag / dcs
We've seen no systemic lag / dcs unlike the previous server. No abnormal drops in players based on our graphs and most people seem to have a good experience. That said, we've seen a few complaints of lag still, and there have been some dcs while I was tweaking some serverside stuff. To address the few who do experience lag, I will be adding a button to the launcher to "report lag". This will allow me to gather information from the users' pcs, network connections, and the state of the server at the time. This should help me narrow down the cause (geographic, routing, personal network issues, etc.)
patch follow up / continued work
There is a significant amount of work that has been done since the relaunch. Much of it is behind the scenes stuff that we aren't publicly announcing. Many tickets and unbans have been processed, but there are still many to go. There is also another patch that will be released soon as well as somewhat regular and smaller patches moving forward. Server updates are paused right now while we address the outstanding administrative work (unbans, tickets, etc.) and will be resuming at a more normal frequency soon.
We're seeing steady user growth just from word of mouth so far. We are holding off on email announcements and the like until we have finished the administrative work and are ready to turn our attention back to server updates and improvements. The main push for expanding the player base has not yet begun.
