MD T-Shirts?

So I mentioned this a while back when I stumbled on a way to do this for a decent price. People laughed at the idea and it seemed like people generally thought the idea was silly.

Recently I've gotten a lot of questions about this. I'm not sure if it's the same person pming me from all of their alts, or if there really is demand for this.

So a simple question, would you buy a Monkey Dynasty T-Shirt? The design would likely be the MD logo on the front and www.MonkeyDynasty.org on the back. Or maybe without the web address, or maybe with some other designs. Hell, we could even have a contest for people to submit their own designs.
 
This is just to find out how many people are seriously interested in doing this. The cost would likely be $20 a shirt + shipping. I can get a shipping deal from one of the major carriers if enough people are buying, it's based on how many shipments you do in a year.  There could potentially be multiple designs depending on the level of interest. I might be able to get the shirt cost down to $15 depending on amount of people ordering. Sizes over 3xl would be possible, but they would be an extra 2 dollars probably. Not sure how much the 10xls go for and if they're available for all designs, but the company I would order from does up to 10xl, and does as small as children's sizes. Um, idk, I think that's all the questions you guys will ask, lol.

A monkey keychain / monkey mouse pads / monkey stickers / phone covers <- the symbol's more suited to these things

While t-shirts are generally the most common idea. I'd agree with ken. I think the design is more suitable for keychains, mouse pads and other things of that sort. I'd go with those first to build up revenue, as people can buy more than one thing if you have keychains, mouse pads and things like that for sale. Where the majority will only buy one t-shirt.  Just my 2 cents

it sounds like a good idea to make printed t-shirts but as Ken said, it would be a better idea to make something else since the logo isnt really fitted for a t-shirt..
Mouse pads or maybe some stickers so people can put them on their laptops sounds like a better idea and maybe fit more.

Think its more so an idea to advertise as well more people would see the shirt than a mouse pad/key chain

Maybe have an option to have a picture of their character on  front/back of the t-shirt and then the logo on the front next to the picture or front if the picture is on the back or on the back if the picture is in the front or have it bext to the picture.

Blown up version of the logo would work fine on a T-Shirt. Although I do think other merchandise is worth looking at.

Unfortunately I don't think JM has enough support for us to print shirts for there. There is a 100 shirt minimum from the place I have in mind, but there may be others with lower minimums.

If this was a cash-grab your point would make more sense, but it's not. This is just something I've been getting asked a lot, especially recently. So we wanted to see how many people were truly interested in this. It seems like quite a few.
Other merchandise sounds like a good idea too, don't get me wrong, but your reasoning I disagree with. The design would fit just fine on a T-Shirt, it just needs to be blown up.
One shirt also costs more than a keychain, mousepad, and a mug combined. Cheaper shipping, and easier to ship cheaply and safely. So none of your reasoning for these being better items to retail is really accurate. With that said, retailing all of the above does sound like a fun idea. If shirts went well we could use the funds from that to fund mugs, keychains, buttons, and more.

No idea why I keep seeing this. Do none of you ever buy T-Shirts with logos on them? It's very easy to make the logo fit nicely on a T-Shirt.
While I do agree that stickers for people to stick on their laptop is a cool idea, that's not what I'm being asked for. People actually want to wear shirts with our logo, as the poll shows us as well.
Concept art would come afterwards. For now, I'm just trying to gauge if this idea is even worth putting any serious time or effort into. Which it really only is if at least 100 people want to buy a T-Shirt.
