I think it would be good to update in the exsisting server, because if you create a new server for the new expansion patch then the current exsisting server would go down to zero. I think lots of people would try out the new characters and if thats the case then what will happen to the current exsisting server (in case of creating a new server for the new expansion patch), there will not be many people playing in the current server and it would die out.

this is only my view on creating the new patch in a new server ( i saw this option in the voting poll list) and wanted to add this point to it.

I do want that version, but I strongly don't recomend the current regenesis server/client, there are some absurds glitches. (at least for me, I can't use certain npcs like sunstream's stashkeep without client crashing)

I said yes, specifically for the new alln base option, and the Kytos. I'm looking forward to seeing easch alln on Monkey raising up it's own "city-state" so to speak.. And Mord, I'm not experiencing that glitch, could it be realm/lag specific?

the only glitch i have on official is GFX wise....when my mage turns into the fireball it shows a Square upon transformation.

Same kind of deal happens when I use Holy Polaris, I believe somethin bout the old and new codes clash a wee bit.. lol

If not welcome to your worst nightmare  i doubt that financially we can afford the patch and have the People enough to do a work around fixing the bugs,The server should be self sufficient...The reason why i say this is because i think the server is pretty stable,and that took a lot of work..want the patch sure buy it,use it on the test server,make an event invite a bunch of people in ...50% bugs need a live environment anyway..get it done but do it with the quality we are all used to.

Then some time from now when its fully functional take pride in it and apply it to the main server...

I Vote Yes because it will let you know what are the advantages and disadvantages of the new system. Bugs is one reason why you do not want the Regenesis patch; but it always happened to a new patch when they just came out. Once it perfectly fix, I'm 100% sure that you will happy with it.

Having a third server would certainly add to the workload we already have. I'm not even sure that Tcho would have the time or be interested in doing it anyways. It's only an option to understand how the community feels.

I would disagree with people who say MD would just die out. Based on the poll results close to half of the server would prefer to play without the patch until the bugs are worked out.

You're right, I did say there are no game-breaking bugs. This means the server will boot up, and we should be able to do everything the same, but we don't know this for sure until we have tested the files. Any number of customs may not work with the new client or the new graphics engine, or whatever. We haven't had the opportunity to try them out on the new client. Same thing with a lot of other things pservers have done. any number of things may have changed with the file setup that may mean some of our scripts and our site features, and even things like voting for jaden or elysium, any of these things may not work. I'm not saying they won't. I'm just saying we don't know if they work until we get the files and test them.

Cost is another major factor, as it stands right now we can not obtain the files without spending thousands of dollars. The server does not bring in enough money to buy the files, and I personally don't have the money to buy them to make money back off them over time or anything like that.

Even if we obtained the files for free we would have to recustomize everything, and you have no clue how much work that really is. Now I don't have a problem with doing the work, not at all, but in the very near future official is going to release another new patch that will include ascension for those 2 new chars. So even if we got the files today, it would take me at least a week to update the files, and that's if I worked my ass off 24/7 really, AND the newer files would need all of the exact same work when they get released next month.

So it honestly seems really unlikely we will obtain the files before ascension releases, simply because the only places you can obtain them from want thousands of dollars for them. We expected this, because of the new engine and all the updates. It will likely take a while for the cost to come down.

We just want a clear idea of what the community wants when we do happen to finally get our hands on the files. You never know, they might suddenly appear tomorrow, we might not get them for a month. You just never know... It's like torrenting a movie.. you usually have no idea when a movie is going to land on the torrent sites... aside from the day of a dvd releasing.

Regenesis had been fix on retail .. the ony problem are u pc guys ....this is all what i say

BTW i play retailn atm and i have no problem with it ..is even better than before ... for the lag all the games have lag ...this server doesnt work smootly as every1 say .. i have more lag here than on retail with regenesis on .... as for graphics bugges i dunno where the heck do u see them ! O.o i dont have not even 1 tiny glich on graphics ..so from this i understand that u all like to troll from what u read on somewhere forum or u just like to troll to look smart ..which u fail in both way ..... stop trolling about something which is not true and move u ass on retail and check it ....or change u pc guys .... i care less if here it come or not regenesis .. as i say a rdy i play on retail ..ofc i would regenesis here too and if u wanna i can make use of donate but is not up to me is up to server to bring or not regenesis .....

In rest the server is 1 of the best (for the moment) i look forward to play regenesis here too but for time been keep my time for retail ...sorry for bad english

i too have this problem on my laptop, but on my desktop (much faster and better graphics card) it plays and looks perfect! the only graphics glitch i had on desktop was the drake pet was semi-transparent but this has since been fixed


but i dont think you people realize how big of a graphics update it really is.... official jade dynasty is now dying because more than half the people havnt been able to get the client to even open without crashing their pc....  even with settings on min my old laptop lags a little and it was premo 2 years ago... i had to buy a new one to play both my toons on official at the same time...

i encourage people who have voted for regenisis to check out the minimum system requirements private servers all over a packed with people who only came because they cannot play with the reginisis graphics... not even on min

i play official regularly so i dont really care either way if regen comes here or not ill still be here to help out and have fun

and btw etherkin asc came out like a month ago... the new incoming patch is a new etherkin humanoid race  whos weapon is crazy.... its a sythe with a crossbow attached and all sorts of crazy lol...

Have you ever thought of Monkey Dynasty getting the new Regenesis patch? Or perhaps make a totally different server with Regenesis, since this is a complete revamp of the game itself, so it would be a massive update on Monkey Dynasty as we know it now.

It's a new expansion PWE is implementing, including a new Etherkin race (Psychea and Etherkin factions), a pair of additional classes, graphics updates, alliance bases, and a reworked beginner experience. The idyllic town of Sunstream was destroyed with the human, Athan, and Etherkin races setting up towns near the ruins, in the floating islands, and in the belly of a stone whale.

Jade Dynasty: Regenesis features:

• New Etherkin race to play and two new factions (classes) you can be: the Psychea and Kytos.
• Sprawling new starting zone. All three races' starting zones plus the hub city of New Sunstream are in the same map.
• Alliance bases (Alliances are up to 200+ players).
• Reworked starting experience. The starting quests have been reworked to be more engaging and to showcase the game's arcane, colorful maps.
• New instances and updates to old instances.
• Updated graphics engine, allowing for improved foliage interaction and better lighting on water.
  

The Psychea Tribe:

• Childlike appearance.
• Weapon of choice: An oversized calligraphy brush, which doubles as a tool for summoning traps and Psyteks.
• Three major playstyles. These can be mixed and matched.
• Playstyle #1: Zone control. The Psychea can summon traps, be they pools of ethereal power or motion-activated explosives. With a little time to set up, the Pyschea can establish complete dominance over a zone.
• Playstyle #2: Psyteks. The Psychea can summon and ride mech-like Psyteks, functioning like stances. Summoning and maintaining the Psyteks costs Spirit but unlocks certain skills.
• Playstyle #3: Summons. The Psychea can bring clockwork minions to the battlefield.

The Kytos Tribe:

• Brutish centaurs; take their inspiration from the Kirin mythological beast. They are gender-locked to male.
• Weapon of choice: spear.
• Rather than casting spells using spirit like other factions, they cast with health. Dealing damage builds fury, which plays into boosting some of their spells.
• They also have a transformation that lets them serve as mounts for other players.
• Their playstyle is very mobile, and very durable. They are bruisers who disrupt the enemy, charging straight through the front lines to reach the squishy targets.
• They have a variety of buffs to help them absorb damage and draw aggro.
• They're one of the few classes with a reflect self-buff to perfectly reward drawing enemy fire by throwing it back at them.
• They have some flat speed buffs, but also some charges, including one that locks down the target after arriving.
• Many of their attacks are AoE, so they're served well by charging in and maximizing the number of targets in range.
• One of their top-tier powers takes this to the logical extreme: Unlike most spells, it doesn't lock down your mobility, so you keep running through their lines as you spin your spear in a fiery spin attack.

So, the question is...

Would you want that experience on Monkey Dynasty? Or not.
