Bloodbonding and Seal stats

This is a little guide to bloodbinding and subsequently, seals.

The Soul Level stats are in this guide here: Common and Fine Seal Orbs: A Chart

First off, you go to Southern Border and visit the Bloodbind Master at 43, -33.

Purchase a Frost Blade from him for 50 S and right click on it once your HP bar is full. This will give you a Blood Crystal. It only has a 30 minute duration.

Take a piece of Gear that has Soul lvl and that is also Refined to a minimum of +1. Select the Blood Bond option at the NPC. Place your piece of gear into the slot and Blood Bond it (this will consume the Blood Crystal).

You can blood bind any gear that has a soul level, but if it's not refined, although you will see a bonus, it will not be activated when equipped. It will be, in fact, greyed out.

There are 9 stages of Seals at each Forge for all 5 types of elements: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth. For each seal level you have a certain amount of Common and Fine Seal Orbs you need to have. For level 9 seals you will also need an item called Fate Blood (currently unavailable in-game).

Each stage offers you two options for all pieces of your gear; closed and empty star. For some elements the closed star item (★) has lower stats, and for others, the empty star (☆) has higher stats.

  • Metal: ☆ for AP, ★ for Defense
  • Wood: ☆ for Accuracy, ★ for Evasion
  • Water: SP (☆ offers higher SP)
  • Fire: HP (☆ offers higher HP)
  • Earth: Resistances (Weaken for boots, stun for body, silence for head and sleep for weapon. ★ offers higher resistances)
    Here is the list of closed and empty stars for every piece of gear.

    5 seals on each piece of gear give you a bonus set.

    To embed a seal, you click on Embed Seal option. Right click the gear you want to seal and then the seal you want to put in. Each seal corresponds with its element; for example Metal Root 1 fits into the M (metal) slot. Click the start button and wait for the magic to begin..

    You will only get the bonus set with all seals being either closed or empty star.

    Once you have at least level 3 seals done and in your bag. You can exchange them for their opposites at each Forge.
    Blade stands for seals on your weapon.
    Power is for seals on your body.
    Might is for seals on your head.
    Shade is for seals on your boots.
